Why your help is urgent
Wars and Crises: The poor have become poorer and the Gospel with aid is needed more than ever! BUT more leaders are available to be trained and sent. Only with your help can this new mobilization take place. The mission Jesus gave is unfinished. Forgotten people, where His name is not spoken, where lives are broken are waiting for hope.
No believer had ever come to this house before. The reason? This elderly mom's son was mentally ill and therefore shunned by the village. Her house was in shambles and the grass roof was falling off. Solomon and his church planters decided they must first care for the immediate needs. "So, we sent one of us to buy foodstuffs and gave it to the lady and her son. We later engaged someone to do the thatching of the roof."
“Our gesture attracted a group of about 30 neighbors. We then shared the word with them. They encouraged us to establish a Bible study group. They told us that no group of Christians had ever visited this family or shared anything with them. They said that what we did is a demonstration of the love of Christ.”
Millions of people in Africa have no access to the Gospel. These are the forgotten people that our teams are targeting this year… with your help.
Our solution
High impact African teams, trained by Appleseed Ministry, are learning to GO and catalyze new movements. Common people become church planters. Farmers and prostitutes. Just like the book of Acts. With your partnership, they can make inroads into the more remote and desperate areas. The time is NOW.
“After Appleseed’s Disciple-Making Movement training, God has helped my wife and I to raise hundreds of disciples who are going out to make other disciples until the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord takes over the earth. Thank you, sponsors of Appleseed Ministry. Words can never be enough to say how grateful we are for the priceless opportunity to become more efficient and effective servants of the Gospel.” Andy, Nigeria

The making of a leader
In just four years, Mathias, a leader in Tanzania, has catalyzed a powerful Disciple-Making Movement with a profound impact:
- 389 House Churches
- 512 Discipleship Groups
- 2,643 Baptisms
- 144 Villages across 16 Regions Reached
How does this happen?
It starts with a shared vision: Mathias and his team are deeply committed to reaching every unreached group in Tanzania by planting self-multiplying house churches in each village and city. Such a vision comes from hearts that are passionate about seeing the lost reached with the love of Christ.
It requires rigorous training and relentless adherence to the Biblical principles of Disciple-Making Movements. Appleseed Ministry provides initial and ongoing training with coaching on the proven methods of facilitating movements in pioneer areas where the Gospel is least reached.
Finally, goals must be set with much prayer to provide daily direction and power for the work forward.
“I am of the conviction that in no distance time, this DMM movement will take over the whole country given its quiet but systematic approaches and strategies to winning souls for Christ” Pst. Alkasin Joseph
How we train local leaders
Passionate believers who have the heart to see every person hear the Gospel are provided with a clear disciple-making process that leads to the multiplication of disciples, churches, and leaders by following steps based on Matthew 28:18-20.
The online and in-person training encourages fieldwork and accountability as emerging leaders learn and implement the practices that can lead to successful movements.
Coaching and further training are provided to those who continue to move forward.
The result is that these leaders engage fruitfully in reaching into the harvest fields of lost, hopeless, unreached, and often impoverished lives with the love of the Gospel.
“DMM for Africa has transformed me. I've learned that disciple-making is not a mere obligation but a way of life. Instead of focusing solely on finding disciples, I've grown closer to the Lord myself, making disciple-making an effortless task. Witnessing DMM in an African context has ignited a passion in me.” Lungille
Impact stories
The child was sick and the mother felt helpless. But, that very morning Rachel, a church-planter, got up in the morning with a passion to go to new places and share God with others.
"So, I pray to God and ask Him where to go and what to do. The Holy Spirit gave me direction so I walked for one hour to somewhere I didn’t know anyone. As I was going, someone told me about a neighbor where there was a child who was sick and asked me to go there. We sat for so long in that house and then I said, ‘Let’s stand and pray for this sick child,’ so we did. I also shared some things from my life and from the Word of God. I told that lady that I had to go but I would come back tomorrow. I went back the next day and the child had become healed."
"Since that time, two house churches have started and people love the word of God."
