"You were born to walk out your door each morning believing that God will use you to deliver a necessary miracle today."
Bruce Wilkerson
Jesus was invited to an ordinary event—a wedding—where a need arose because the party ran out of wine. This created the opportunity for a miracle as He met that need. The first time we were invited to Africa, a need arose in leaders who were looking for new ways to make disciples and start churches without the expensive baggage of traditional churches. The miracle was that God had prepared us to equip them in that very need and He did just that.
But we are all in situations every day in which needs are coming up in people's lives. Do we believe that we are there to be part of God's miraculous solution to those needs?
As Brooks and I prepare to leave for Africa, we sense this truth afresh. When we walk the cities and villages of Kenya and DR Congo, the needs are so great and it's easy to ask God to use us for whatever miracles He might do.
But… the needs are equally great here at home, albeit often different. Still, can we believe that today God wants to partner with us to deliver a miracle to someone's life as we walk through our day?
