John Wanyonyi, director of Liberty School in Bikeke, Kenya, was in a serious motorcycle accident late last month. Besides other injuries, one of his legs had multiple fractures.
Thanks to several of you who responded immediately, we made sure that John received the best care available.
He was in the hospital for ten days while the doctors allowed the swelling to go down before setting the leg.
John has continued to be in fair amount of pain and is expected to keep his foot elevated for ten weeks. However, he is seeing progress.
John expresses his appreciation for the help and support he received:
"My relatives attempted several times to get me out of the private hospital because they feared the bill. I bless God and pray for all of you who love us this much. Although still in great struggles with this leg, with tears of joy I say thanks, so so much. You have done us too much kindness … more than expected." John.
