D.R. Congo Women Want to Show the World How They've Changed

The women came to the director of our Women in Congo ministry and asked if they could march together, as a group, in the International Women's Day event on March 8.

I get tingles up my arm thinking about this.

These women have each come from the most hopeless, depressed, and oppressed situations.  Many were sexually used or abused, all had given up hope in themselves and for their families.  But their lives have changed and they wanted to tell others that it's possible--that God can lift the destitute and sit the lowliest in high places.

The director of this ministry, Angel, did not initiate this idea.  Rather, the women themselves came to her and said, "We want others to know that they can find hope; that they can change!"

So... on March 8, during the Women's Day march in D.R. Congo... they held their heads high and did just that!
