The school director took us to visit a new family from the school. We stood with the family in their very tiny house not much larger than a walk-in closet.
John, the director, said to us, “Just look down and look at this floor!”
We looked down at the hard, pitted dirt floor and the cracks in the mud walls which seep with water when it rains. “Imagine,” he said, “all four children and the mom sleep right on this dirt. In fact, we just came to realize this recently because the children are coming to school both tired and hungry.”
John, a village-boy-turned-pastor and director was horrified himself. We were speechless. The mom was doing everything she could to support her children and doing the very best she can.
This is why many of you have helped develop Liberty School and sponsor children. One-by-one children are given what they need to sleep, eat, and receive an education. A simple hand-up to one child is an amazing gift!
On behalf of John and these children, you are most welcome to sponsor a child!
Finally, your prayers are much appreciated as we continue our journeys in East Africa working with leaders and movements of churches in Western Kenya, East Coast Kenya, and Rwanda!
Your partnership is essential.
