Angel Alembe, from DR Congo, asked us to pass along the following letter handwritten from her and translated by her husband, Steven:
I work with women who are victims of violence and who are severely marginalized because of their situations. I have been highly motivated to help them because of the same kinds of things when I was separated from my parents when I was 10 years old. In addition to the hard situation, there was no money so I was not able to study at a school. Because of God’s grace, I was targeted by some Christians with an organization in my place. I was able to attend school because of them. Even the ones who supported me with finances, I have never seen, only a picture of them. Because of God working through them, my life was completely changed. I was able to receive my high school diploma because of them. You are the same. For now I cannot see you, but I pray for you that our Lord Jesus Christ will care for you and provide for your daily needs. You are doing the same today for many of the women here who are sinking in poverty, illiteracy and humiliation. I am praying God will bless you. I am very grateful to you.
